KATARINAS SKULL
I have so many things I would like to write now, but I can’t. It is too much. What I found was Oliver Sacks book ‘Musicophilia’ which basically changed my life today, in the past and forever.
He writes about music in different neurological diseases. Especially interesting is the connection between seizures and music. Now I am so pissed and embarrassed that
I lived my whole life without even looking into the musical aspect. Not only this, I trained to become a professional trumpet player within classical trumpet,
and no, not even then I looked into it. Though I knew from long ago that Mozart’s ‘Eine kleine nachtmusik’ works for some people with epilepsy.
Oh, well. Oliver talks about Musicogenic Epilepsy and patients having temporal lobe seizures of musical sort. Some patients remember the appearance of music during the course
of the seizure even. Fascinating and remarkable.
This past week a reaction has initiated in my lobes that is for sure. As we speak I am still keeping my eyes half open and have difficulties looking at the screen. I am forcing myself
but I have a huge headache after each time I do that or after I read. So I have been pretty occupied with EP stuff this week and have been starting to wonder what exactly is
going on up there. Again the universe directed me to the right spot because I found Oliver’s book and that made all the difference this week really.
There are so many absolutely fascinating things I want to talk about regarding this but I need to close my eyes.
Would like to just add, one of the very interesting things was one of the patients who was given the same medication as I started one year ago, and who got a profound change of appreciation in music.
An intensified functional connection between perceptual systems in the temporal lobes and parts of the limbic system indicating a sensory-limbic hyperconnection might be the basis for the emergence of the unexpected ARTISTIC, SEXUAL, MYSTICAL AND RELIGIOUS FEELINGS that someties occur in people with temporal epilepsy.
How absolutely wonderful! I didn’t know! One year ago when I started the new medication I got an inexplicable interest in photography and this passion for creating has remained. The other stuff is also true. Could that be it?!
Another patient Franco Magnani, learned how to paint after experiencing epilepsy. Moreover, as I was reading there was some classical music on TV2 which strangely bothered me like never before. Of course in the next chapter he describes patients who would be provoked to seizures by different kinds of music, including classical. So interesting it is, that is why I like Timbaland! I like the base and since I quit with classical music lots of classical music gives me stress which feels like allergy. Maybe that’s a normal thing? Sadly, but I still have my baroque ability and of course piano music. Jazz does me only good… Just like Tony Cicoria I will listen to Chopin’s ‘B Flat Minor Scherzo’ tomorrow. Now this again is interesting. I want the Grand Piano.
Anyway, this is when I found the old scans of me taken in Norway. The images were sent home to me, and they are the BIG sizes, so I had to put them up on the TV to be able to visualize them.
So here is my skull!!
I will work more on them yes.
JAY SMITH
Pride of Sweden right now for me at least.

SVENSKA KAMMARKÖREN RECORDING
I took the liberty to record some of this beautiful concert. I hope they like it, I have cut together pieces and not recorded the whole song. I urge you to go and listen to them next concert they have!
The first recording is the song ‘Jul, jul, strålande jul’ which is one of my favorite christmas songs, and which I grew up with singing myself in choir.
This next song ‘O Holy Night’ you all know. This I played in the church as well, will try to find it in my belongings.
And this year the choir won the choir contest in Italy. Not bad. Here is the URL for that:

NEEDLE MUSIC
Vinyl of course: wanted to succeed with taking a picture of my new vinyl player (yes=), so happy about it! I failed big time. Alphaville’s Big in Japan is needled over and over again….
OOOPS
I didn’t find out until today that the videos couldn’t be viewed because I apparently made them private. That was not intentional, so I post them again:
Katarina feat. Latent Lucia
This video was filmed when flying with my brother in law George, the pilot, and my dad Anton, above Småland somewhere. I am playing the trumpet (not in the plane but in a church), recorded at some point during my studies at the conservatory in Bucharest.
Like I said the previous time, in order for me to move on, I have no alternative than to show the past. This I imagine, will make space for the new to come.
Halleluja. (Imagine the lyrics from ‘Spit the Shit’ to the tune – or no, maybe I should compose a special piece for that one)
SPIT THE SHIT
love my track
SPEED UP THE BEAT
or is it Scooter?

Rafael Mendez – Flight of the Bumble Bee & Mexican Hat Dance
My fobi is getting better! I managed to save a bee today that came into the kitchen.
The wonderful thing about is that I wanted to save it rather than killing it!
I used to have a terrifying feeling of ‘Kill!’ whenever I HAD to kill a bug.
Disappointing to discover such nasty characteristic of one self. I am not perfect after all.
In the 1960s, Nobel Prize winning zoologist, Karl von Frisch, proposed that honeybees use dance (the ”waggle dance”) as a coded message to guide other bees to new food sources.
In the new research using harmonic radar, scientists have now tracked the flight of bees that had attended a ”waggle dance” and found that they flew straight to the vicinity of the feeding site, as predicted by von Frisch.
The tracks allowed the scientists to determine how accurately bees translate the dance code into successful navigation, and showed that they correct for wind drift even when en route to destinations they have never visited before.
