MAKING MARSHMALLOWS
Jag är ledsen Jesus but I made marshmallows.
(I am not happy with the look of my blog, and changes are upcoming but as in everything in my life: ‘Patience. It just takes a little bit longer time.’)
the making of marshmallows
small changes make a huge difference

the marshmallows now almost look like ice cubes
and now they look like ghosts – cute and fluffy ghosts?
and here come’s the recipe of these sweeties on Swedish, will update to English later
lägg ca 2.5msk gelatinpulver i 120ml vatten i blöt under tiden sockerblandning kokar.
Häll i smeten i formen.
Rulla i florsocker.
Piece of cake! =)
LEAVES REFLECTION
this pic is the reflection of leaves in the water
shot in Botanisk on my way to Ängårdsbergen
SUNDAY DELETE
I wish I could delete this day.
Though at least one good production came out of it. I edited the pic to emphasize the reflection in the water that made me stop to take the picture, that is why I made the other objects sort of grayish.
I have more modifications of the image, as usual… The one above looks kind of funny doesn’t it?
WINTER WALK
SATURDAY 4TH OF FEBRUARY
Went down to have my weekly latte of course. Sun was shining and it was a lovely day.
DAD’S DIAMOND
My dad just retired from being a dentist. On his final day he gave me a ‘diamond’ tooth stone.
can you see it? I painted it a bit pink like it actually is =)
BLOG PROBLEMS
Am having problems with editing my Blog page ‘Gallery’. I managed to upload some pictures there, but could not transfer the whole bunch from my old blog template category ‘Gallery’, so now I have to upload them one by one and put into a new gallery, here the page ‘Gallery’.
However: the page allowed me to insert the images you see there, but now I don’t know how to add more, because they just don’t show up. Argghh!
I want to add more pics to the gallery page of course! And I don’t have the time now to spend hours in figuring out how. So instead I make new posts on the blog and add the pics there….Sigh!
An old pic shot in the harbor here in Gothenburg, in 2010.
SNOW WALK
I wanted to capture the image of plenty snow balls frozen on ice. Something like this, do you see? I did only a minor mod here, raising the light in the foreground of the pic and darkening the contrast lines of the edges in the frame.
The scene was lifted by the beautiful winter 17:00 evening light today, in combination with the lovely snow walk. I was surprised how late the sun set today actually, yay…
SNOW BALLS
Snow balls resting on top of iced canal looked so photographic and I had to take a shot, though with phone does not quite succeed.
Äsch, I can’t help it – I like much better the modifications
I make another post with what I wanted to show here
SKY REAL
SKY from Katarina Antonsdotter on Vimeo.
Here is the unedited movie of the beautiful sky with the clouds..
for some reasons the movie did not accept a centered position in the post,
so I have to leave it to the left like that, which is a bit disturbing
NEW YORK COAST LINE
NEGATIVE NEW YORK EAST COAST from Katarina Antonsdotter on Vimeo.
And here is another movie! This one is the coast line seen when flying into New York.
It was absolutely fabulous! The feeling I felt when I saw the coast line after 10yrs, the time when I moved back to Sweden from NY.
The feeling I had in my stomach, wow…it gives me tears in my eyes just thinking about it. =)
Beautiful isn’t it when editing like Negative?
Really it looks like a painting which is alive.
NEGATIVE SKY
NEGATIVE SKY from Katarina Antonsdotter on Vimeo.
So this was filmed on my way to New York. The sky was so beautiful with all the clouds, although the unedited film is more beautiful.
Imagine image with inverted colors of sky and clouds, that is white and blue. Edit was made as Negative, with an 8mm filter in the app CinemaFXV app on iPhone.
It looks like a painting that moves I think…
(now the size of the video was saved as Medium, and the iphone cam is of course not that sharp when filmed from the plane, so it is a bit blurry, but anyway)
PILLARS OF THE SCHOLAS
At the same location going to Elsterberg looking down I thought the heart carved into this wooden piece looked inspiring. I made it B&W because I wanted to focus on the heart only and not the colors. The wooden pillars, let’s call it, are orange-brown-red.
I tried to increase the light to make the heart stand out more, but it was a bit difficult since the whole picture changes shape while contrasts are formed due to exposure. So I tried to compromise with the channels to make at least a part of the picture a bit lighter. I think I succeeded a little with this, though only a fractionally lighter heart appeared…
ELSTERBERG
On the way down the hill to Elsterberg. A bit more colorful and with a different light of day.
GRAFFITI TUNNEL
I did not hide my joint here in the tunnel found next to the Arbeit picture digging area
VIEL SPATER
yeah, I don’t speak German but I wished I did
so can you guess what this image wants to express?
me neither
ah, a white line!
GLOOMY
the weather started getting gloomy and rainy in Dresden on the 2nd of Jan
though there was a great light in the sky reflecting nicely on the water
MEDIAN TIRE
OR:
ÄSCH – TOO MUCH OF THE GOOD
maybe I should let my pics be without modification, I don’t know
I AM TIRE(D) NOW
RED HOLIDAYS
Prosit!
so I spend the New Year’s holidays in Scholas
we can call it the Red Holidays? Christmas and stuff…
I know it is a bit too red and flat to the point it looses contrast and interest – perhaps
BUT!
there is of course more selective color changes from this PSD file
AND!
INTO SCHOLAS
sorry don’t really remember now but I think this was way just before entering in to Scholas
SCHOLAS SACHSEN GERMANY
There will be more posts of pics from Sachsen… meanwhile we put up this one of me from the 18km walk on New Years Eve around Scholas.
(was such a long time ago I added pics of myself! or?)
